Kanishk is a bright and spirited 9-year-old boy whose laughter and dreams have been overshadowed by a severe illness. When he was just 7, Kanishk began experiencing severe vomiting and headaches. His parents, a humble farmer and a dedicated housewife, were devastated to learn from the doctors that their beloved son had a brain tumor and excess fluid in his brain. The news was a crushing blow to the family, and Kanishk had to undergo immediate surgery to insert a shunt and drain the fluid.

For a brief period, Kanishk’s condition seemed to improve, bringing a glimmer of hope to his family. But recently, the terrifying symptoms returned, shattering their fragile peace. Desperate to save their son, his parents took him to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, where he underwent another surgery and radiation therapy. Despite these efforts, Kanishk continues to suffer, and his family’s emotional and financial burdens have only grown heavier.

Kanishk’s father works tirelessly on the farm, while his mother devotes all her energy to caring for their home and children. The cost of Kanishk’s ongoing treatment is overwhelming, and they are struggling to make ends meet.
