Sahil, a 13 months old child, had a hole in his heart. He did not even know what challenge life had offered him at such an early stage. His father Naushad, a worker in Bihar earned only Rs.6000 a month. Naushad who already was unable to fulfil the basic needs for the family, now had an additional responsibility of his child’s treatment. Doctors at AIIMS, Delhi gave an estimated expenditure of Rs. 55,000 for his treatment. The family’s miserable financial condition had put them under serious trouble to finance the treatment of Sahil. They approached us ‘Save The Girl’ NGO and we tried our best to help them out. We did a fund raising campaign and with the generous contribution of the donors he is now healthy and blessed with a new life.
